VimX Technologies Inc. announces two new SAE Full Sponsorships for the 2006-2007 competitive season. The Newcastle-Upon-Tyne Racing Team and the Rochester Institute of Technology Green Vehicle Team are the latest SAE Student competition teams to sign up for access to VimX's patented x10Spark™ technology. "We are thrilled to expand our stable of SAE sponsored teams with these two innovative competitors.", said Guy R. Bisson, President and CEO. "We've expanded our global coverage by sponsoring Newcastle Racing which will be participating in the European Formula Student competition. They will be adapting their Ducati Monster 600 (583cc) L-Twin engine to exploit our x10Spark™ technology - a long-duration, plasma-rich spark ignition. This compliments the various inline 4-cylinder and 1-cylinder engines currently using our VXI-440 Programmable Ignition Module. We also expect the Rochester Institute of Technology Green Vehicle Team to push their engine design to even higher levels of efficiency. The SAE Supermileage competition rewards teams who can deliver better performance from their standard Brigg's & Stratton engines. We've tested our ignition system at very lean operating points and we anticipate the RIT Green Vehicle Team to exploit this advantage aggressively." Both teams will be reporting their progress with the VXI-440 Programmable Ignition Module over the course of the 2007 competitive season.
